Which Renia glue should I choose for shoes, bags or leather goods?

Start with both materials being joined, including any finish, lining or reinforcement. The adhesive, surface preparation and assembly method need to work together. Use the selection guide as a starting point, then check the product instructions and test your materials before production.

What is the difference between Colle de Cologne and Topfit?

Both are contact adhesives used in footwear and repair work. Colle de Cologne is a versatile option; Topfit is a high-power option with its own material limitations. Topfit is not for plasticized PVC. Compare the technical instructions for your exact materials rather than choosing by strength alone.

Can I use Renia adhesives on EVA, vinyl or PVC?

These materials need different considerations. Explore Colle de Cologne or Topfit for compatible EVA work. For vinyl or plasticized PVC, review Syntic-TOTAL. Syntic-TOTAL is not suitable for EVA, PE or PP. Always check the exact formulation, surface preparation and manufacturer directions.

When should I choose a water-based adhesive?

Explore Aquilim 315 when a water-based contact adhesive suits your materials and workflow. Water-based and solvent-based systems can differ in drying, activation, preparation and handling requirements. Follow the selected product’s technical and safety information.

Do I need a primer or pretreatment?

Some materials require a specific preparation step. TR and PUR are examples where the correct pretreatment or primer may matter. Match preparation to the exact substrate and adhesive system, and use the product’s technical instructions.

How will my Renia order ship?

Check the shipping notes on each product before ordering. Drode lists ground-only shipping on many Renia products, including Aquilim 315; do not assume a water-based product is eligible for air shipping. Available methods depend on your order and destination. Read our shipping policy.
